Writing about Writing
Nancy’s input session on 10/12 involved some discussion on why we ask our students to write, and I remembered a writing for fluency activity I learnt at a Lindsay Clandfield workshop in Berlin some time ago. I haven’t used the activity for a while, but would like to return to it, and to look at putting together a lesson on writing for fluency and pleasure, which is too often overlooked with our learners, in favour of essay and story writing (often wholly unrelated to their real-world needs).
Here are my initial thoughts from a free writing activity during Nancy’s session. It’ll be interesting for me to return to the same questions at a later date.
